As I was driving down the road, this bumper sticker had caught my eye.
“Wag more, bark less.”
Then I knew what the title of my blog would be; Wag More & Bark Less
It is about being so busy & finding out exactly how it is that we have become so busy.
We should wag more & bark less.
In my prayer journal this just came flowing forth:
Take care that you are not so busy. Watch out for that very fine line of being busy and being ambitious! Nothing is more dangerous than a busy ambitious soul.
Nothing is more disappointing than an anxious soul that has disguised itself as being busy!
Nothing is more deadly than a nervousness that has masked itself as being dutiful busy.
(Read 2 Sam. 6.7)
Over the top busy is nothing more than hyper-faith. Hyper faith is a over stimulated, keyed-up type of faith that makes us assume we know what God wants. We instead impede the Kingdom & bring confusion.
Being busy is not necessarily being productive.
Use your energy well,
Steward your grace with finesse
Being busy doesn’t equal works.
Being busy doesn’t equal faith.
Being busy doesn’t equal servant hood.
Being busy doesn’t equal learning.
We get so caught up in these things and end up substituting these busy works for real relationships.
Striving is busy work, strife keeps you busier.
Stress keeps your mind buzzing & busy
There is a good busy and a bad busy, a healthy, productive busy and an unhealthy, counter-productive busy. Being so busy has fragmented & frenzied our lives and relationships, to the point we risk losing it all for the sake of it all!
Bad busy: knee deep & swamped (Desperately needing more hours in the day busy)
Good busy: diligent and engaged.
Bad busy: absorbed & immersed (crazy busy & frenzied)
Good busy: focused & working
Bad busy: preoccupied & buzzing (over commitment & distracting ‘stuff)
Good busy: active & flourishing
Bad busy: engrossed & tied up (am I too busy for my own life, busy?)
Good busy: industrious and vibrant.
Here again, is another fine line, between being focused & being absorbed. You can be so absorbed that you block everything out and you can no longer hear. While being focused is being clear and having things sharply defined. One becomes centralized, instead of polarized.
Look at the fine line between being so tied up and being the industrious type of busy. Being tied up busy is being tied down busy, you limit yourselves. It is like the medical procedure of tie off, where they take a cord and tie off the flow of blood. Same as in being tied up busy, the flow of life ceases! While an industrious type busy is healthy, one works energetically and devotedly; like a hard working diligently person should.
The sad part about this is, that there are a lot of people out there who would be absolutely bored with out something to do, they’d go stir-crazy!
Then there is the overworked and overwhelmed person, who complains often and if you listen closely it is with a hidden message of self importance.
There are many who live life by crisis; always looking to put out fires, they thrive on the frantic pace of busy, busy, and busier. Some run from task to task, avoiding life’s bigger issues. Some are so busy, it doesn’t matter. Too busy to notice that they are too busy, the duty bound, guilt motivated busy, those who find their self worth in the ceaseless busy.
I want you to take care not to busy yourselves with useless busy work. Rule the day well. Become skillful in setting your priorities. Sit at Jesus feet. Luke 10.41, 42
A word of wisdom: There is a busy out there that is marked with aggressiveness. The tone has become religious in nature, their pursuit has become tireless. The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violence takes by force ( Matt.11.12). These busy people look down on those who appear to be less busy and they have little or no tolerance. Herein this type of busy has become aggressive in nature and assertive in purpose and these are traits that do not work well in the Kingdom.
What I am after is the busy that bears no fruit in your lives. The busy that keeps you so busy, the knee deep busy, this is the unfruitful activity that I am zeroing in on. When you are being so busy that it steals your time, and time is not meant to be spent this way. You’re so busy you are missing important life events, and missing these things breeds regret and bitterness. There’s a distracting type of busy that produces stress and fatigue, and in turn, you will enter into a burned out stage and this is the perfect storm for discouragement, and disillusionment
You need to wag more and bark less!
A diligent, and focused type of busy keeps you on an even keel, while a buzzing, random type of busy is vain and is very counter productive. A preoccupied & tied up kind of busy doesn’t inspire anybody, while an industrious and vibrant type of busy is contagious to all those around.
Rule the day! Stay sober & vigilant, howbeit that doesn’t mean to be sour & boring.
The call is to unbusy yourself. His mercies are fresh and new every morning
( Lam.21,22). We wake up dragging and dreading the busy day ahead. This kind of busy robs your of your gratitude. Let your gratitude be your attitude!
Psalm 46.11 Be still and know that I am God. Cut back on the rat race, get off the spin! There is an earnest energetic busy that God has for us, a yoke that is fruitful and easy.
There is a need to become skillful in our functioning and in the way we work. This is what it means to be industrious, better said; steadfastness. Steadfastness believes God. We busy ourselves with helping God help us, when all He asks sometimes is to stand still.
Rededicate yourselves! Refresh and renew; do not take things for granted.
Hebrews 4 Be diligent to enter into that rest.
I want you to take off that coat of an ambitious, over achiever. Get out of the in your face, belligerent and combative type of Gospel.
Hebrew 4.16 ‘Come boldly to the throne of Grace that we may obtain mercy & find grace to help in time of need.’

The husband did not quite get my latest entry. He stated that it was to compact & condensed. Every sentence packs a punch!
I am a major bottom line person & I write in one line, bottom line format, I drop it & leave it there hoping you’d get the meaning.
This is an attempt to explain & interpret what I had written yesterday.
The sense I got from this download from God is this; there is a darkness rolling in, man-made; sign of the times; God ordained; demon ruled; whatever you want to tag it as, it is darkness & it is rolling in and we are not up to speed on this light thing. We are to be the light & salt of this world & instead we haggle over doctrine & what is sin and what it isn’t. We must learn how to rule, by now we should be mature rulers of our own lives and guiding others the same.
We must untangle all the misconceptions of what is means to be true rulers. Instead we have apostolic tyrants & administrative controllers running a muck!
God is encouraging us to rule with class & dignity. Rule with an aristocratic heart, but not as masters over each other. Rule as authorized Sons of God. We have authority, yes, but to do what? Not to run each others lives. The sense I got was it is time to be over comers; it is long overdue. The darkness that is coming in (I see it actually rolling in like a fog bank) is steadily creeping in, taking ground. We best get our ruler act together, because when we find ourselves standing in the midst of this darkness, we will become engulfed with the darkness or rule over it.
The call is to rule the day! Feed His sheep.
Take a look at the issues of rulership; when God leads us to conduct, we control, He tells us to direct and we dictate, the list goes on & on.
The caution was put forth about dictatorship, that season has ended-don’t get caught in the fallout. The warning was put forth; watch out for the one man show, it is overwith. Simply stated.
Go up & rule as one man, but know this that it is the many that make up the one man.
Somehow we must finalize this quest of becoming the light & ruling as the light in this foretold darkness.
There are nuggets of truths, like rule with wisdom; if you don’t you’re just being domineering.
Last but not least is the call to rule the day, reign & rule, govern and find your weight! Rule as a conductor of a symphony orchestra! It is not just waving a baton at professional musicians! A conductor is involved in all areas of performing, from creative to business decisions.
A conductor is also intimately familiar with all of the musical pieces!
I got the sense that God is calling us spiritual conductors of His symphony and we must know precisely each function. While each person (Musician) may only rehearse a part of the score, the conductor must learn the entire score!
The conductor is very in tune with the composer!
So it is a very big thing this call to rule as a symphony conductor! So become well rounded, learn, become a spiritual technician. Find the rhythm & hunt for your lyrical self. Get your act together & rule!

This darkness that is rolling, has energy of its own; it has a seducing way about it and a lure. People are drawn to it, more so than the light. Do not be caught with your spiritual pants down. Make the adjustments and rule. There is a whole slew of those about you thrashing about, do not let their ways rule over what you do and how you act.
Rule with your words, rule with your faith. Learn how to rule. A pebble in a sling shot of faith can knock down a mighty mountain. Rule over your heart for out of it the issues of life flows.
Watch out for dictatorship their season has come to an end.
The one man ruler ship season is over and done with.
Go up & rule as one man, the many make up one man.
Can you give direction without ruling? Organize with out overseeing? Somehow you are going to have to master the art of ruling & having self rule. Become an agent of supervision & provision. Be the light & distributor of the light. This calls for self rule in your lives. We get confused with rule & running things, running the whole show. We get confused with management & mentoring, as well as overseeing & surveillance. Untangle this mess, and get to ruling.
Rule with wisdom, otherwise it is just being domineering. Rule over your heart as well as with your heart. Rule over your emotions, not from your emotions.

What is going on today in the Kingdom? “Sword and the stone” theory –Jesus being the Rock!
I hear the clock, tic tock
Times marches on, catch the rhythm
Songs being sung, catch the melody
I’m taking a break from the wars and battles-break with me!
The ‘out to lunch’ sign is posted on the “war strategy room”!
I am in the creative design & art & music room! Go with me; get your creative juices flowing.
Faith needs a little color; hope needs a new design love needs some remolding!
I am in the Potter mode, & mood!
I am cooking up something delicious & tasty, gathering the ingredients- taste & see; taste and decide!
I am decorating the room (s); painting the Mansion & planting flowers along the river of life!
The Tree Of Life-she is in full bloom! What a sight to see, flowers of light & color, smells of indescribable delight!
Go with me on my creative heart, it is in this place that I had created the heavens & the Earth, that I spoke light & life into existence!
The war room can take care of itself, it is on automatic pilot!

Kingdom Riddle
Pray for the war in the Middle East,
Children die and men feast.
War has become a money maker,
Oil has become as gold.
There has been no shaking that has awakened her.
Pray for the Middle East,
Libya, Syria & the lands of sand.
Children die and men have become beast!
Pray for God’s open hand!
Pray for the war in the Middle East,
The fight, the struggles & the unrest.
It is a covert war to say the least.
One that has closed the gap from east to west.
Pray for the world powers that be,
Syria, Yemen, Libya & the Mediterranean Sea
Send Angels to Turkey, Syria & Iraq
Pray & hold back a nuclear attack
Send Angels to Iran, Egypt & Beirut
Pray the enemies’ voice to become mute!
Cleanse the land known as the Sudan,
Wash their feet in blood soaked sand
Pray for the Suez Canal,
Pray for the land they want to sell.
Loosen Angels to go to Oman,
To gather riches from the gulf of Persia
Pray that the people throw off inertia
Pray for Baghdad & the River Euphrates
Prayer for the buffer zone in Cyprus
And prayer for the Gaza strip
Send a mighty prayer that whips!
We look for the root cause of terrorism,
As if when we find it, it would just go away
We go to war, to punish & make ‘them’ pay
Pray for words that mean what we say
Pray to discover truth concerning the Middle East
Pray to uncover truth concerning the motivations of our heart
Pray we know what is our part
The world grows closer & time is running thin
It is a war that nobody can win
That has evolved into a world economic disaster
That has no rule and has no master
Call a cease to combat & bloodshed,
For the earth is about to vomit
And I hear the rolling of lopped off heads,
Cause by prayer, we have thrown down the gauntlet
Pray for the war in the Middle East,

This is from my prayer journal, June 8, 2011. Today is listen and write day, so God what do ya have to say today?
Trim your wicks! Sand off the rough edges! Tighten the screws & bolts! Fill your lamps!
Matthew 25 Tells us about the foolish and the wise; the wise took oil in their flask, while the foolish did not. Thus the strong advice for us to fill our lamps.
After you fill up your lamps, put it on a lamp stand , for those who come in may see the light. Then everything hidden will become clear and everything secret will be made known.
So be careful how you listen! Those who have understanding will be given more!
Lamp of the body is the eye, your heart is the lamp stand and your tongue is the wick. It is with your heart that you find direction (it is the seat of your belief system), fill it with oil which is the fuel to light the fire of passion and desire for life. The wise took an extra flask of oil, knowing the delays might have an adverse effect, they grew sleepy. Absence doesn’t make the heart grow fonder it makes it sleepy. So trimming your wick, is trimming your tongue, for out of the abundance of the heart (lamp stand) the tongue speaks. The oil is what fuels the light, the lamp. Oil is the fire and passion, the desire and the motivator for life!
Part 2
1) There is a wave of ‘sucide’ rolling in. With it is a serious undertow. Be aware and take care of those who walk in hopelessness, those who fall prey to discouragement, those who have been diagnosed with depression and disorders of the like. Set up a medical/spiritual triage.
2) There is also a series of weather/climate related phenomenons approaching. Bringing with it its usual doomsday predictions; however take a second look into the hows and whys of these events, look to see what they uncover.
3) look up! the sky will make herself known. The universe is pulling in closer, The sun, she is sluffing off some unnecessary ‘stuff’.
Know this, I built things to last forever. No burning up or out! No self-destruction mode. I created things to have life and life eternal. There is an eternal mode that you need to lock into. So…..when the sky reveals herself, do not be afraid, it is the beginning of the revealing of the fullness of time, not the end.
Walk as Sons, walk as the salt and the light the earth, connect on that level and you will understand and not be in fear.
Get the word out, swim deep, dig deeper. Look past what your eyes are able to see. Force your senses to sense beyond the normal. Train yourself for the eternal!
